On My Studio Table

I have never in my life been on my way anywhere, but simply on my way. -Samuel Beckett

This week I continued to work on the 12x12 inch panels that I plan to join together.

I'm starting to think that I like these paintings better individually, rather than together. Been working on these panels obsessively. Driving me nuts. But in a good way. hmmmmmm.....

To see photos taken at the opening reception of the Encaustic Nature in Art exhibit, you can see them here. I'm so pleased that my painting Cradled received 3rd place prize. 1st place was won by Ahavani Mullen whose work is so serene. And 2nd place was won by Julia Ris whose work is so dynamic. Glad to be in such good company. The show will be up until April 1st if you are in Highland Park, IL.

  2. 'Cradled' is a beautiful piece and very different from the other winners. I enjoyed looking through the photos of the exhibit. As for your studio table...again I'm fascinated seeing your progress & dream of the day that I will have the knowledge to take my collage to that level. So inspiring...thank you.

    1. Thanks Jo. With your and Trace's encouragement, I saved the paper and have them already folded to be bound into books!
